Stanford IEEE serves as a vehicle for interaction between industry and EECS students for the benefit of all parties. We offer several programs through which companies can meet, inspire and recruit Stanford students. These programs are open to organizations that demonstrate a strong commitment to electrical engineering or computer science and the community - companies that can both benefit and contribute to this exciting interchange.
Speaker Sessions
Company representatives can schedule on-campus talks, running 30 minutes to an hour in length. Good topics focus on students, rather than the company: for example, promising sectors in industry or job interview skills. The cost is $500, plus catering costs.
These talks must be scheduled three to four weeks in advance.
IEEE takes care of logistics like publicity efforts, location reservation, and set up and clean up.
Corporate Mentorship Program
This program pairs Stanford EECS students with industry professionals based on similar career interests. Mentors typically provide guidance on educational and career decisions, by email and telephone. However, the nature and venue of each mentorship is of course decided on an individual basis.Last year's corporate mentor application can be downloaded here; last year's corporate advisee application can be downloaded here.
